Tavern Platanos

Since 1932 it became our direct aim to highlight the genuine traditional Greek cuisine, highlighting quality ingredients and delicate flavours. Now a landmark in Plaka since it became a hangout for many famous scholars, artists and politicians of all decades. Some of the names as well as nostalgic photos can be found inside the tavern and especially on the 1st floor. “All and sundry have stepped up here. They dabbled, they chattered, they created.” Platanos has at times housed names such as C. Palamas, P. Kaligas, C. Parthenis, M. Kotopouli, O. Makris, H. Venezis, Patrick Lee Fermor, Henry Miller, G. H. Hendrik M. Miller, H. Henry Miller Miller, H. G. Savvakis, H. Henry M. Miller, H. Henry M. Miller, H. Henry M. Miller, H. G. Savvakis, etc. We keep the traditional element of the old Plaka that we all look back and search for.
